What’s expected of me as a volunteer?

 

We expect volunteers to have a positive, team-focused attitude to help the Bluegrass & Old Time Weekend be a community-felt success!

Do I need to stand for long periods of time?

 

No! We will match you with your interests and ability to available roles during the event.

 

Will I be outside?

 

Some shifts are outside however we have planned to relocate those scheduled for outdoors if the weather does become inclement. Please bring appropriate clothing and comfortable footwear.

 

What jobs do volunteers perform during their shift?

 

Shifts will be split between ticket sales, general information, venue management, recycling & sanitation.  Each shift will usually be about 3 hours. If you can only volunteer for a shorter period please say so on your form.

 

Do I need to bring my own food and water?

 

There will be access to water on-site however you will need to bring your own reusable water container or purchase beverages at your own cost prior to when you are expected to volunteer.

 

Fresh fruit may be available however you should also bring a snack with you, as quantities are not guaranteed.

 

Is there a minimum age to be a volunteer?

 

We ask that volunteers be a minimum of 18 years old unless they are being accompanied by a parent or guardian.
